Dog Photo Shoot Yields Some 500 Pounds of Food For Montclair Animal Shelter

Portraits by Michael Stahl (formerly Best Friend Photography) held its annual fundraiser yesterday for the Montclair Animal Shelter. During the course of the day the studio created portraits of 23 dogs of all sizes and shapes. The session fee included the donation of at least 20 pounds of dog food for each pup photographed. In total, about 500 pounds of food will be donated to the shelter. In addition, a portion of each portrait sale will also be donated to the shelter.

Stahls? dogs, Colby and Lulu, bidding a sad farewell to so much wonderful food.

?It?s always a fun day for us,? said Michael Stahl, who along with his wife Wendy own and operate the studio, which is now located at 11 Midland Avenue in Montclair. ?We so pleased that many people return year after year, but it is great to see so many new faces too,? Wendy added.
